Hi Wilson,

I am traveling right now and don't have a lot of time to answer this
email, but a good way to start is to go through all the tutorials; this
will give you a bit of understanding about how mlpack is laid out.
Then, you could take a look at the open bugs in the bug tracker
(http://www.mlpack.org/trac/) and see if there is one that you find
interesting.  I realize that not very many bugs are beginner-level...
